The inaugural St David’s Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast took place on the morning of Thursday 1st March, with the International Reception taking place the evening before, on Wednesday 28th February.

Our keynote speakers for the 2018 St David’s Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast were Vaughan Roderick, Broadcaster and Michael Plaut OBE, Chair of CBI Wales.

Special guests and contributors included The Rt. Hon. Elin Jones AM, Presiding Officer, National Assembly for Wales; The Rt. Hon Alun Cairns MP, Secretary of State for Wales; Julie James AM, Leader of the House, Welsh Government; Mark Regev, Israeli Ambassador to the UK and many more. We were also joined by representatives from National Prayer Breakfasts across Europe. Prayers for the Nation were led by Dai Lloyd AM, with the Blessing led by Roy Godwin.

The National Library of Wales exhibited a selection of rare manuscripts and historic Bibles.

During the events, we enjoyed performances from Côr Meibion Taf, harpist Lowri Clement, and Huw and Elizabeth Priday who sang “Dyma Gariad” and “The Lord’s Prayer”.
