The 2022 Prayer Breakfast took place on the morning of Thursday 3rd March, with the International Reception taking place the evening before, on Wednesday 2nd March.
The theme of the 2022 St David’s Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast was “Welsh Awakenings: Revival and its impact” and our keynote speaker was Professor Medwin Hughes, Vice Chancellor of the University of Wales Trinity St David.

We were also joined by representatives from National Prayer Breakfasts across Europe. Prayers for the Nation were led by Nathan Sadler of the Evangelical Alliance, with a Blessing by Major David Emery MBE, Members’ Chaplain.
The National Library of Wales exhibited a selection of rare manuscripts and historic Bibles from their extensive archives during the events, and we were grateful to Timothy Cutts, the Rare Books Librarian, who spoke about the exhibition during the International Reception. We were also joined by Jane Hutt MS, Minister for Social Justice and Paul Williams, Chief Executive of The Bible Society, who spoke about the relevance and power of God’s word.
