The first St David Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast was held in 2018, to bring together Members of the Senedd, church leaders from throughout Wales, international guests and others, to share in the spirit of prayer and thanksgiving for the nation of Wales and our rich Christian Heritage. The events are organised by a cross-party committee of Members of the Senedd, chaired by Darren Millar MS.

Each year, guests gather together in Cardiff Bay to pray for the Welsh Parliament and its Members; to build relationships between church leaders and Members of the Senedd, and to reflect upon the relevance of the Christian faith in public life.  

The events takes place in early March in the week of St David’s Day, a day of celebration for the patron saint of Wales.
